Norton Manor Taunton

This watercolour was commissioned by Debut Services part of Babcock and Bovis Land Lease for a client’s Calendar in 2005. The image was sketched and photographed in the early autumn with the leaves on the trees. However one of the scenes had to be mid-winter, so with a little imagination this picture came up trumps and filled the gap. Unfortunately I am unable to remember the paper I used, but I do know it was not Arches and I had to work hard to develop the painting. I find arches papers quite superior and they almost paint themselves, the paints were Winsor and Newton. I thought this winter scene would add a festive feel to the web site.
